Although proud of what has been accomplished, we want to hear from you so we can keep improving. Located in the apparel design capital of the world, we use design professionals to assist in translating the techniques of top firms to our product line. A Cut Above rejects the premise that a pilot uniform or yacht uniform is a basic commodity garment which only need to offer the most basic functions of clothing. Pilots spend more time in their pilot shirts and uniforms than any other garment in the closet. Your pilot shirts and uniforms should therefore look good and be comfortable. Poor fitting pilot shirts, uniform pants, and accessories are detrimental to comfort and appearance and yes, it does matter. Pilot Uniforms made to fit everyone end up fitting very few. Not all people have the same proportions, customers need choices. We reject the premise that we should always choose the low price option in our operations. Although tempting to do so, it is important that we build trust with our customers. If a more affordable option is available but does not meet our higher standard, we will not sell it. We also reject the premise that we could just make some of our shirts smaller and label them as a female pilot shirt. The ladies need women’s pilot shirts, pants, ties, and blazers. Pilot uniforms should be a mark of distinction and reflect a pilot's esteemed position in society.
